French Summer School in Biarritz

Accommodation

French host based (private household)

Offered on a shared room basis* (either with a friend or the college will find a pair for you) with full-board (breakfast, lunch and evening meal) arranged by the hosts.
* Generally in single rooms in August

French hosts live in and around Biarritz - in houses just a walk or a short bus ride from the college, the beaches and the centre of Biarritz. If over 20 minutes from the college students are given a Bus Pass (but can also rent bikes locally for approx 25.00 Euros).

Hosts offer you the chance to share daily French life with native speakers. 
They are likely to have more than two student staying with them. 

They will collect you from Biarritz airport/station by arrangement, free of charge (if at reasonable hour) and take you back at the end of the course. 

They will also show their students to college on the first Monday of their course. Weekends are spent with your hosts, so that they can enjoy your company and may even take you out for the day or go to the beach with you.

Going out Permission

Teenagers aged 15/17yrs old will need signed parental permission to be able to go out in the evenings. CESA will forward details upon enrolment.

Parents must indicate that either:

1/ no permission to go out is given 

2/ students are free to go out at a time set by their parents but in any case no later than 12.00midnight in the week & 01.30am on Friday/Saturday nights (no later curfews can be arranged).

French language students, aged 18 years of age+ are not subject to parental permission rules.

NB: Parents cannot set alternative curfews as the college is unable to police them.

Travel

Arrive: Sunday PM
Depart: Saturday AM

Travel to Biarritz by plane (or train) and then take the host arranged two way transfer to your accommodation. If you need to arrange Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday flights, please discuss with the CESA staff so we can arrange an additional night's accommodation for your child in Biarritz (this is rarely a problem, but an extra night's accommodation fee will be charged).
