French and Cookery in Rouen

Combine your French language studies with a fabulous week in Rouen! This 5 day course enables you to practise your French and hone your culinary skills. The French and Cookery course is a must for those wishing to combine language learning with the art of cookery and of course, Normandy is the ideal place to do it. The Rouen Culinary School offers expert culinary demonstration and practice on top of the French language skills programme and at the end of the course each student will be able to prepare a sumptuous regional menu (and enjoy a fantastic lunch for three of the 5 course days).

French and Cookery in Aix
~ Two weeks language course duration / set dates apply
~ Open to 18yrs+ age group
~ 20 group French lessons per week + cookery workshop sessions
~ Max 10 people per class
~ No beginners accepted
Combine your French language studies with a fortnight in Aix! This 10 day course enables you to practise your French and hone your culinary skills in the heart of Provence. Students follow the morning Standard Programme and in the afternoon enjoy cookery workshops, discovering Provencal gastronomy and local products. Students also try local wines and learn food/wine related vocabulary.
French lessons : A1 to C1 language level (elementary to advanced)
Revision and study of the structure of the language
Study of the four kefy skils; oral and written comprehension and oral and written expression
Teaching based on everyday situations with the help of varied material
Systematic optimizing newly acquired linguistic skills
Discussions, debates and presentations
Work in smaller sized groups
Individual work outside class suggested on request
Timetable : 1st Monday 14.00hrs to 15.30hrs, then
09.00 to 1030hrs and 11.00 to 12.30hrs
Cookery sessions
The cookery programme covers the following:
~ Introduction and presentation of Provencal products
~ Provencal cooking workshops followed by a tasting
~ One cookery workshop followed by a dinner in a family
~ Visit to an olive oil and wine producer
~ Presentation and tasting of fabulous French cheeses
Timetable : afternoon or evening from 14.00hrs to 21.30hrs (varies)
