Sunshine in Hyeres, Provence

In this wonderful coastal town, winter is like spring!

Did you know that Hyeres is on the same latitude as Florence in Italy?
And the town and its peninsula have 39km of pristine sand beaches to explore?

From late January onwards one marvel above all others impresses every visitor: the sun !

Honestly the sun shines in beautiful blue skies and it's glow is reflected across the hillsides; due to the marvel of the Mimosa forests in the hills and mountains, back from the coast. From February onwards, for the next three months of the year, each week-end Provencal "corsos" (flower-float) parades occur throughout the villages and towns celebrating the Spring flower harvest.

"The classes were informative and stimulating. The teachers manage to initiate extremely interesting discussions, helped by the range of nationalities, experience and ages in each class"
Lynne, British, Accountant

Why not experience this delightful location yourself, escape the winter gloom and discover the beautiful town of Hyeres, just 20 minutes along the coast from Toulon, on the French Riviera.  Language students of all ages love the town and the language college.  Febuary through to Spring and the Autumn months are firm favourites with CESA Adult clients.  The weather is so benign, contrasting with the strong summer sun and the pace of life is deliciously slow and relaxed.  Hyeres is the perfect location in which to unwind and concentate fully on improving your French.

"Mon stage était une semaine avant Noël en 2007, mais je me souviens souvent du climat doux à Hyères, des conversations animées sur la terrasse où les professeurs et les élèves déjeunent ensemble...."
Tatsuro, Japanese, retired.

"Please continue to educate in the fun and invigorating environment you have. Hyères is a gorgeous city and the people were all very friendly..."
Brian, 23, US student.

Language lessons generally take place in the morning, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the exceptional Provencal climate.  Hyeres is the most southerly part of French Riviera and enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year so even in winter you can get quite a good tan lazying in one of the many sheltered beaches of the peninsula.

Hyeres's public gardens are one of students' favourite places to study their verbs and vocabulary, read or just enjoy the zen attitude. Hyeres is a beautiful and truely special town with a charm of its own, as much to do with its medieval heart and noble avenues, borded by Victorian and Belle Epoque villas as its golden beaches, fabulous marinas and picturesque fishing ports.

"I like swimming and with the perpetual sun and warm sea, I am in the water nearly every afternoon"
Ray, British, aeronautical engineer

Each year, language students drawn from some 50 nationalities study together and share the experience of living in Hyeres.  For adults from 16 to 70+, the Hyeres school is an ideal place to learn French year round, but Spring - the Mimosa season - has an appeal for CESA adult students that we highly recommend to all.

"Meeting other students from different countries in a complete range of age groups added to the experience"
Ralph, Company Director, New Zealand.

"My expectations were surpassed in many areas, including: the teaching, the facilities, the encouraging and relaxed atmosphere, the French family accommodation, the new friends I made, the fun; and all this in a superb town and area!"
Nigel, British, freelance indexer.
