12 weeks German language course duration

Aimed at students who want to develop their German skills AND at the same time prepare for the Ski Instructors exam in December (applicable to skiers and snow boarders). Ideally you should have prior skiing experience and if possible, prior knowledge of the German language (though the latter is not essential). This course is a particular favourite with Gappers - and adults looking for a change of direction - who wish to get their Ski Instructors qualification prior to the Ski season in the New Year. Past students (with EU passports) on this German course in Kitzbuhel have always been able to work in Austria for the following season, so the chances of gaining employment immediately after the course are high.

A short term German language course aimed at those who wish to build on current skills in Kitzbuhel, in a small college environment. This is a great group course for anyone looking to learn German in a small language school, with classes of between 1 and 6 people per class - a very intensive learning experience!

Language levels and course duration: The German language school in Kitzbuhel offers groups of every standard from absolute beginner to the very advanced. They ask everyone (except beginners) to take a short test on their first Monday morning so that they can put you in the right class for your German language level. If you are the only person of your particular standard, we offer you a course with full participation in the free time programme etc, but we reduce your lesson time from 9:00 to 10:30 (instead of 12:15, that is you get 2 lessons of 45 minutes per unit, instead of 4). You effectively get private lessons at the group rate.
German & Skiing Course

A short term German language course aimed at those who wish to build on current skills, in a small college environment (German language lessons as described in the German group course above), blending their German language learning with a chance to ski or snowboard (generally students ski in the afternoons in Kitzbuhel, but this may sometimes change, depending on the local weather conditions to morning skiing and afternoon language lessons). Students arrange ski hire and passes on the Monday afternoon and generally ski every afternoon. Some stop for a late lunch after an hour's skiing, others will just ski all afternoon (it really is up to you). Ski lessons can be arranged if required, but most students enjoy free skiing as individuals or with other college students. College staff will help anyone sorting out skis and boots etc on their first day and are happy to answer any questions regarding the best slopes given the current snow conditions.
German & Hiking Course

A great Spring/Summer, early Autumn programme for those who wish to improve their German whilst also getting into the mountains for some fabulous hikes (German language lessons as described in the German group course above). The German school normally arranges a couple of group hikes per week, generally Thursday & Saturday. Many hikers set off on foot from the school in Kitzbuhel, up the slopes, but you can cheat and take the lifts up the mountain. With over a 180 km of hiking paths to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice!
German Over 50 Course

A short German language course aimed at adults, over 50 years of age, who wish to study with their peers in an informal environment and enjoy the social programme offered by the German language school in Kitzbuhel (includes a full day trip, guided tours and half day trips). The Over 50s group tends to be quite adventurous and love to get involved in all that is offered, enjoying trips to local castles (eg Kufstein) and local towns (eg Rattenburg) and of course the fantastic hiking opportunities.
German Private Tuition Course

An intensive German language course, ideal for those who wish to make maximum language progress over a one or two week period in Kitzbuhel, Austria. Ideal for adults with specific German language needs or who would simply prefer to have one to one German classes in general language skills.
