Learn German in Munich
Accommodation in Munich
German language students in Munich can choose to stay right next to the college in the student residence, experience sharing daily life with German hosts, by staying in a private household or enjoy living an independent life style in a sole occupancy studio apartment in Munich. Please be aware that as Munich is a large city, unless you decide to stay in the Student residence then you will have to expect a daily commute to college (approx 30+ mins each way).
Prices for all accommodation options are quoted
on the CESA Course Finder.
Student Residence:
The Student residence is set in the grounds, just next door to the College, this means no commuting and is therefore popular (especially so during the busy summer months). There are communal kitchens and simple student lounges on each floor. The student lounges are good places to chat with the other German students in the evening. The residence rooms can be booked from one week, through to several months. The rooms are simply furnished (and the lift in the building is quite small) so if you like a little luxury talk to CESA about the studio apartments as an alternative. The residence offers a total of 124 beds with simply furnished single rooms and commons rooms over six floors. Each floor has shower and toilet facilities, two kitchens and two common rooms for shared use.

In the local area by the residence
there are a variety of shopping opportunities (supermarkets, bakery, butcher’s shop, fruit and vegetable stands).
The residence is used by young people from all over the world: international language course students, German student interns and trainees live together under a single roof, providing a good mixture of independence and shared responsibility.
Private Household:
Students like to stay with German hosts as a way of increasing their their opportunities to talk German out of class. The hosts offer single room accommodation on a half-board basis (breakfast and evening meal) or breakfast only basis.
Host accommodation can be offered on a one week+ arrangement on request, although hosts prefer to house guests on a 4 week+ basis. The hosts provide you with a chance to sample German daily life first-hand, however bear in mind Munich is a large city and commuting to college from your host is an inevitability (allow 30 minutes+ for the one way trip to college). Public transport in the city is well priced, efficient and user friendly but unavoidable in a city of this size.
Studio apartments:
The college work with a number of apartment owners that offer self contained, furnished studios which offer a better standard of facilities tthan the student residence, and is therefore better suited for our adult students.
Includes: main room, kitchenette, bathroom + telephone, TV and pc connection.
These are usually offered from 4 weeks duration+ (but can sometime be provided for shorter courses). Some of the apartments will become more expensive during Trade Fairs, please check with CESA prior to enrolling.
