Spanish Language School
The Spanish language school in Cuenca was established in 1995 and is a great place to learn Spanish in Ecuador. There are a great range of Spanish language courses in Cuenca, so if you are looking for a good quality general language Spanish group course you can choose from the Standard course (20 Spanish lessons per week) or supplement your group lessons with additional private classes in the Combined course options or an Arts and Crafts programme of activities. The Spanish college in Cuenca also offer one-to-one classes in a range of Private Tuition courses to suit all needs and Spanish language abilities.
The college also offers students of intermediate+ ability the chance to book a Volunteer Placement, for example within a local school The Spanish school is located in a private house with a large reception area, a cafeteria (that serves snacks and lunches) and a balcony/terrace area that overlooks the private garden, with a terrific view of the city and the Barranco River.
There are seven classrooms used for the Spanish language courses the school offers plus a common room, video room and a library. The Spanish school's gardens make a great meeting place after classes for the Spanish language students. There is an internet café just outside the school, where you can send emails.
It is within easy reach of Cuenca city centre (it only takes 5 minutes by foot) to reach the cathedral. The Spanish language school staff are always on hand should you have any questions once on your course. The Spanish teachers are all native Ecuadorian speakers of Spanish, with University degrees, who specialise in teaching Spanish as a second language.
