Accommodation in Madrid

Madrid is a large, busy capital city, however students are normally located around 15 to 30 minutes commute by bus to college.

Private households: Students can choose to stay with local hosts, in single or shared room accommodation, on a half or full-board basis. Living with local hosts provides a good opportunity to practise your language skills out of class.

Student residences: The college offer a number of small student residences (with owner occupiers who provide half or full-board catering) or larger uni dorm style residences (with half-board or full-board cafeteria catering), whereby students live with other international (or Spanish) students. Typically they are located 15/20 minutes by bus from college and provide single, shared or even triple room options. They are simply furnished and best suit younger students, rather than older students.

Shared apartments: There are a number of simple private apartments which can be shared with international or Spanish students, with communal kitchen and bathroom and single rooms (recommended) or shared rooms (double or triple - only recommended for friends travelling together) on a self-catering basis. Generally the apartments are around 15/25 minutes by bus from the college.

Depart: Saturday PM

We recommend students fly to Madrid’s Barajas airport and then take a taxi, bus or train/metro to their accommodation. Public transport in Madrid is good value for money, efficient (allowing for traffic congestion) and easy to tackle even if this is your first visit to Spain.  You are welcome to take the college transfer service at additional cost from Madrid airport to your accommodation.
